 As fas as I know Esx3.5i produces a "purple screen of death" with AMD Phenom CPUs? I tried a AMD Phemon 9350e on a ASUS M2A-VM board and had the same.

So could you provide infos the mainboard?

 I was thinking of upgrading my dual core 4200+ in my ASUS M2N-LR to a Quad core.... but would like to know what will work before I spend my cash.... as a friend at work has the same board and a 9750, but he gets an error from esx complaining about the cpu micro code not being right.... this could be something that ASUS would need to fix, although it works running other OS\'s.
