 Working with ESXi 4.0 U1
With 4GB physical RAM installed, BIOS reports 3.3GB available. Reports 3.2GB on esxi host screen, and in vSphere 1.6GB is available for use in ESXi.

I am installed ESXi v4.0u1 (build 208167) on a Compact Flash card running on an IDE to CF converter.

Recognises my SATA hard drives as storage.
