Hi, I\\\\\\\'m new in the virtualization world and I want to get hands-on experience in a home lab. Since my laptop is old I thought I buy a laptop which could support a homelab (2x ESX(i) on Workstation). I\\\\\\\'m thinking about purchasing the following laptop: ASUS N53JQ-SZ174V # Intel Core i7 740QM # 6 GB Memory # 750 GB Harddisk # Windows 7 Home Premium # NVIDIA GeForce GT 425M video Anyone an idea if this will work? Or if it certainly will not work? Or are the better/cheaper alternatives? Your help is greatly appreciated Kind Regards, Jules Update 21 feb: Never mind, I bought it. Works GREAT.  Update 16 mar: Still works great. Added 6 Gb Mem. Now running VM WS7, 2x ESX, 6 VM\'s, vCenter server. Please note thast you\'re not able to run vCenter (or any other 64bit OS/App) on a virtualized ESX). |
