Cheapest Hardware Config for VMWARE DRS

Hello ESX Whitebox Forum! I am unemployed as of this writing and looking to build 2 or 3 boxes as cheap as possible that will support 4.0.1 at minimum. I need to get certified and will test with Netapp, EMC, MS 2008 R2 iSCSI and OpenFiler. Any ideas would be great. I am not worried about blazing speeds. This is more like a lab for testing. But I do want DRS/FT ability to explore all facets of VMWARE. And hopefully MS Hypervisor and XENServer. But VMWARE is my highest priority. If it can be done for 300 to 500 per box that would be awesome. With much appreciation, Craig Sour |
