I purchased a ASUS P8P67 Deluxe w/i7 2600, 16gb Ram and 6 2tb drives in raid 5 configuration to build a test ESXi 5.0 server. I am having issues with the NIC\'s they are; (Intel 82579 gigabit) and a (Realtek 8111e gigabit) no driver. Also the Raid 5 SATA is an Intel P67 express and the boot / DVD rom is on a Marvell Serial ATA 6.0 After buying all this hardware I found this website.. now it looks like it was all for nothing. (except a powerful gaming PC)  I am looking for a NIC that will fit but the expantion slots are the following 2- PCI slots 2- PCIe 2.0 x1 slots 3- PCIe 2.0 x16 slots I have a qlogic PCIx-133 10gb Fiber card (does not fit) I have a Intel Pro/1000 GT Quad Port PCIx-133 (does not fit) I have a LSI Logic PCIx-133 (LSI720XP) 10gb Fiber card (does not fit) I have a Silicom PEXG6i (6-port Gigabit) PCI Express (does not fit) Looks like I got the wrong Motherboard......  |
