Information:
Can be used to boot ESXi in JBOD mode. I have not tried the RAID features of this card under ESX. I did not update the BIOS rev which had to be 4 years old at least. Western Digital shipped this card with several models of SATA drives in the late 2005 time frame. This explains (I think)why I can still find it in used PC shops and in the bottom of my own spare parts bin.
