I can boot up with a SATA DVDRW with the onboard SATA controller but ESXi won\'t install. I had to use a LSI MegaRAID 150-4D to load ESXi. Works fantastic! I got this board because it has 4 RAM slots, and can hold a max of 16GB of RAM, 4x4GB. Most boards can only do 4-8GB. It also has 1xPCIe x16, 3xPCI, 2 PCIe x1. So lots of room for upgrades and is relatively cheap at $100.
